Contradiction
I’m taking the Meyers-Briggs personality test for the second time in my life, and I love this section: “Which word in each pair appeals to you more? Think about what the words mean, not how they look or how they sound.”
You’d think they’d know - as a writer and avid reader, how words look and how they sound play heavily into their appeal.

On the ferry today…
…I saw a girl sitting with her friends. In her lap, she had a copy of The Fault in Our Stars open, and she was only a few pages in. While her friends talked around her, she was reading, and looked enthralled. I wanted to tell her she had such a great story ahead of her, and I envied her a little bit.
These are the little things that make me happy.
